Label Material

Roll label materials are selected for packaging, product labeling, and repeat application from a roll.

These materials are different from our sticker vinyl materials.

White BOPP:

White BOPP is a durable polypropylene label film with a clean white surface. It is a strong choice for product packaging, jars, bottles, bags, and other uses where labels may be handled often or exposed to light moisture.

Choose White BOPP when you want a crisp, professional label with better resistance to tearing and moisture than paper.

White Paper Labels:

White paper labels are a cost-effective option with a familiar matte paper feel. They work well for indoor packaging, mailers, boxes, event labels, and short-term product labeling where heavy moisture resistance is not required.

Choose paper labels when you want an economical label for dry, indoor use or when the natural paper texture fits your packaging.

If your labels will be exposed to refrigeration, condensation, oils, or frequent handling, White BOPP is usually the better starting point. For dry packaging and general indoor use, paper labels are often the most practical option.

Sticker Border

Important Note:

Please be aware that our cutting equipment, while finely tuned, and the material used, while of the highest quality, can be susceptible to environmental conditions that may impact precision. We aim for the highest accuracy, but there can be a slight variance of up to .03" in the cut. This margin of error is usually undetectable by eye, but is most noticeable when your design includes small borders or, in some cases, no border at all. We recommend considering this potential variance when designing your stickers to ensure the final product meets your expectations.

Sticker Finish

Understanding Matte and Glossy Finishes:

Matte and glossy finishes are two distinct types of finishes that can be applied to die cut stickers, each offering unique characteristics and aesthetic qualities.

Matte Finish:

A matte finish is characterized by its dull, non-reflective appearance, imparting a subtle and understated charm to the sticker. This finish is ideal for stickers intended for indoor use or featuring classic, refined designs. Easy Peel

At Sticker Invasion, we understand the frustration that can arise when peeling stickers from the backing paper, especially with thicker vinyl materials.

That's why we've introduced Easy Peel options to provide hassle-free sticker application.

Easy Peel Border:

The Easy Peel Border option features a kiss cut along the sticker's border, followed by a through cut approximately 1/8" beyond. This creates a border around your sticker, making it effortless to peel off the backing paper. Say goodbye to struggles and hello to smooth application with this convenient solution.

Easy Peel Tab:

Similar to the Easy Peel Border, the Easy Peel Tab option adds a small tab to the exterior of your sticker. This tab serves as a convenient grip, allowing you to easily remove the sticker's edge from the backing paper. While this option isn't available for all sticker types, it offers unparalleled convenience for those it does accommodate. The graphic designer working on your proof will strategically position your Easy Peel Tab for aesthetic appeal, but you're welcome to provide placement preferences in the order instructions.

Where's the Split Back Option?

After careful consideration, we have decided not to offer a split back option at this time. Split back stickers quite often will have a visible line through the sticker after they've been peeled off the backing paper and applied. The alternative methods we provide do not share this problem.

White Ink

We understand the importance of achieving vibrant and accurate colors on various vinyl substrates, which is why we offer four distinct options to ensure your designs look their best when it comes to white ink.

Choose For Me:

Select this option if you'd like our graphic designer to choose what would work best for your stickers. We'll do our best to make you the best stickers possible.

Use Image Transparency:

For file formats that support transparency, this option strategically places white ink underneath any non-transparent color in your design. By doing so, it allows the border around your sticker and any transparent areas in your design to showcase the natural effects of the vinyl. This method preserves the integrity of your design while enhancing its overall appearance.

Don't Print White:

Opting not to print white ink entirely avoids any white ink deposition. This means that any white areas in your design will remain unprinted, allowing the natural properties of the vinyl to shine through. As a result, colors in your design may appear slightly translucent, creating a unique and captivating effect.

Use File Settings:

This option provides you with the utmost control over the printing process. By following our artwork specifications, you can specify the areas where you want white ink deposited in your design. This level of customization ensures that your design is printed exactly as intended, with white ink applied only to the desired areas.

If you're unable to configure these settings yourself, our team is more than happy to assist. Simply select this option when placing your order and leave instructions for us to follow regarding which areas of your design should contain white ink.

Unwind Direction

Unwind direction describes which edge of each label comes off the roll first as the roll feeds forward.

It matters most when labels will be applied with a dispenser, label applicator, or automated packaging equipment. If you are applying labels by hand, the unwind direction usually is not critical.

Choose for Me:

Select this if you are applying labels by hand, do not have applicator requirements, or are unsure. We will use the most practical roll orientation for production.

Top First / Bottom First:

The top or bottom of your label leads as it unwinds from the roll. This is commonly important for vertical labels, bottles, jars, and applicators that expect the artwork to feed in a specific orientation.

Left Side First / Right Side First:

The left or right edge of your label leads as it unwinds. This can matter for wide labels, horizontal artwork, or applicators mounted so the roll feeds sideways relative to the product.

If your labels will be machine-applied, check the applicator or packaging line requirements before ordering. If they will be applied by hand, choosing a specific unwind direction is usually optional.

Application Method

Application method tells us how you plan to put the labels onto your products or packaging.

By Hand:

Choose this if you or your team will peel and place each label manually. For hand application, unwind direction is usually not critical, and "Choose for Me" is often the best unwind option.

Hand-applied label rolls may be produced with flexible roll counts. Your order may arrive on rolls of differing lengths, and some rolls may contain splices. This will not affect normal hand application. If you need a specific number of labels per roll, splice-free rolls, or any other roll setup requirements, please include those details in the instructions.

Applicator Device:

Choose this if the labels will be used with a label dispenser, semi-automatic applicator, or packaging machine. Applicators often require a specific unwind direction so the label feeds onto the product correctly.

If your labels will be used with an applicator, please include any specific roll requirements in the instructions. This may include labels per roll, maximum roll diameter, core size, and whether splices are allowed. If no specific requirements are provided, your order may be supplied on multiple rolls with varying roll lengths, and rolls may contain splices.

If you are using an applicator, check the equipment requirements for roll direction, core size, and maximum roll diameter before ordering. If you are applying labels by hand, those equipment details usually do not matter.
